Inumbra is a collaborative study, resulting in reinvention between Michele de Lucchi and District Eight of modular components that build a shelving system. From sculptural stature to discreet details, Inumbra portrays the Italian architect and designer’s renowned sensibility for norm-defying form, while highlighting District Eight’s technical capability in pared-back utility and clarifying aesthetic.
The structural elements are as easily assembled as seamlessly adjustable to varying needs and taste. With unexpected rhythm and compositions, Inumbra poses a refreshing expression that casts new light on a long-standing staple.

Michele De Lucchi is an Italian designer and architect. The designs of De Lucchi furniture, lamps, and objects have been manufactured in collaboration with many of the main Italian and European furniture manufacturers, such as Artemide, Alias, Unifor, and Alessi. He has completed architectural projects in Italy and abroad, including cultural, corporate, industrial and residential buildings.
This product cannot be installed on partitions or hollow walls, as it will not be able to support the weight of the unit. Installation on marble slabs or reinforced concrete walls will require a diamond drill (this service is not provided by Urban Edge Home Gallery). Urban Edge Home Gallery can only provide installation on normal solid walls. Urban Edge Home Gallery does not provide installation for ceiling heights more than 2.4m, and a ladder must be provided by the client for installation. Urban Edge Home Gallery's installation service is limited within Selangor only. Installation is complimentary for Inumbra.
An installation manual is provided inside the box of every product unit for reference. Damage of parts due to improper self-installation is not warranted by Urban Edge Home Gallery. This product is handmade from natural materials - slight variations in the finish or colour is part of its unique beauty.
